Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences
Faculty in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences do not often have big research labs and grant projects. These fields are where books are published, archives are built, art is created, history is taught, languages are preserved, and culture is scrutinized. Funding for junior faculty is critical because needs are great and available resources are very limited. Small amounts of money go a long way and contribute significantly to the knowledge base in areas of study including psychology, political science, and history.
